Conservative dentistry

Conservative dentistry is included in general dentistry. Primarily it deals with treatment of dental hard tissues, namely the treatment of caries, or injuries and complications associated with them. Tooth decay is an infectious disease caused by bacteria that cause tooth enamel decay. When this condition is not treated in time, there is damage caused to the dental pulp and in the later stages the death of the nerve. Conservative dentistry includes fillings of different materials – ceramic or amalgam fillings, refilling the tooth with composite material after injuries and endodontic treatment of root canals.
